Volunteering

Without volunteers, we simply would not be able to do what we do. 

We have over 40 volunteer drivers from the local community, who offer up two days or more per month to transport our members to their destinations and home again.

We have seven office volunteers who manage the booking lines each week day, taking bookings and registrations and answering questions.

Our board is made up of volunteers from all walks of life, people who are giving back to their community by giving their time.

We are forever indebted to the wonderful people who dedicate themselves to helping others. There is however no doubt that all these people also derive a deep sense of satisfaction from being able to do this and they thoroughly enjoy both the activity itself and the social contact which volunteering brings.

Despite our numbers we are constantly looking for more people to volunteer so if you have an interest in becoming a driver or helping out in the office, please do give us a ring.

Bec Briar, our Manager, will be happy to chat with you. All new volunteers are given full training in all aspects of the role, and drivers are mentored by a trained driver for their first few journeys.
